Another Florida man has been arrested for threatening to assassinate President Trump mere minutes from Mar-a-Lago, marking the third serious threat against the President in a political climate where leftist violence continues to be ignored by Democrats.

The Left’s Violence Problem Continues
Just how many assassination attempts and threats does a President need to endure before Democrats start condemning political violence? Apparently more than we can count. In the latest disturbing development, Glen DeCicco, a South Florida man living uncomfortably close to Mar-a-Lago, has been arrested after making explicit threats to kill President Trump on social media. The Jupiter Police Department, working alongside the Secret Service, didn’t waste time in scooping up this potential threat after his disturbing Facebook posts came to light.
What makes this case particularly alarming is the escalation in DeCicco’s rhetoric. This wasn’t just some off-hand comment made in poor taste. According to reports, this guy actually wrote out “Ass-ass-inate” and detailed a bizarre strategy involving buying and selling stocks followed by plans to “shoot Trump tomorrow.” If that doesn’t trigger red flags, I don’t know what does. After being interviewed by detectives and special agents, DeCicco was taken into custody without incident – a small miracle considering the potentially catastrophic alternative.

Not An Isolated Incident
This isn’t some one-off occurrence either. As if one deranged Florida man weren’t enough, we’ve got Shannon Depararro Atkins, another gem from the Sunshine State, who was recently nabbed for similar threats against Trump. West Palm Beach police caught Atkins during a traffic stop near his home – again, disturbingly close to Mar-a-Lago. And wouldn’t you know it, they found cocaine on him at the time of arrest. But don’t worry, he told police he was just “joking” about wanting to harm the President. Because assassination threats are hilarious, right?
“Folks, this is not a joke. Nothing of that sort is a joke”, says Tony Araujo.
At least West Palm Beach Police Chief Tony Araujo gets it. He called out Atkins’ posts for what they were – “violent rhetoric.” In Araujo’s words, “In today’s climate, you really can’t say things like this.” You think? After two actual assassination attempts on Trump just this year – including one where he was shot and wounded at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania – you’d think people would understand the gravity of making such threats. But apparently, common sense isn’t all that common anymore.

A Pattern of Dangerous Rhetoric and Silence from the Left
Let’s not forget that these incidents are part of a broader pattern. Another Florida man, Kendal Aaron Todd, was recently arrested for social media threats against Trump. And on Election Day, a man was arrested for threatening to kill Christian conservatives if Trump won. That’s four separate incidents in a short time span. Meanwhile, we’ve seen practically zero condemnation from prominent Democrats about the violence directed at Trump, Elon Musk, or the administration. The silence is deafening and, frankly, complicit.
What’s truly frightening is how normalized this has become. Remember when the media lost their minds over mean tweets? Now they barely blink when someone threatens to assassinate a president. In Florida, a “Written Threat to Kill or Do Bodily Injury” is a second-degree felony punishable by up to fifteen years in prison. And you know what? Good. At least law enforcement isn’t playing around. They’re taking these threats seriously, and so should we all. Because in America, we settle our political differences at the ballot box, not with bullets – a concept that seems increasingly foreign to the radical left.
