A social media influencer who likes to brag about her designer gear was robbed while on vacation. Victoria Paris, who posts to TikTok and Instagram and regularly talks about the free gifts of designer bags and other luxuries she receives, took a trip to Europe and was targeted for robbery. Thieves broke into her Los Angeles home and stole her jewelry, a Louis Vuitton bag, Paco Rabanne bags, and other high-cost items.
The thief, who was caught on CCTV, appeared to return a second time the day after the first robbery. It is not known how the criminal located Paris’s home, but she often posted videos from her garden, revealing the home’s surroundings.
In a subsequent post, Paris published the CCTV footage and said she would re-examine her lifestyle and question the wisdom of revealing so much of her life on social media. She also expressed her relief because, had she been at home at the time, things could have been much worse for her.
However, the change and new self-reflection appeared short-lived, and the influencer appeared on Instagram again two days later, showing off the new designer bags she had received since the burglary. Paris even goaded the robber and said, “Checkmate, b****, because they sent me everything that was stolen and then some.”
Going even further, Ms. Paris even stated that being robbed was the best thing that ever happened to her, and after showing off an expensive Paco Rabanne dress worth $1,100, she said she would even steal from herself.
Paris has more than a million followers on TikTok and started out by posting daily videos, sometimes up to 100 per week. She gained almost a million subscribers in her first six months on the platform and has reportedly made a fortune. Just one year after she started her social media career as a college student, her net worth was reportedly more than $2 million. The 25-year-old is a New Jersey native with homes in New York and Los Angeles. She was on a Portuguese vacation when the robbery took place.
