Greene’s Fierce Accusations Against Government Secrecy
Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has launched a scathing attack on the government’s handling of mysterious drone sightings over New Jersey and New York. The outspoken congresswoman didn’t mince words when addressing what she perceives as a glaring lack of transparency from federal agencies.
“The government is in control of the drones and refuses to tell the American people what is going on. It really is that bad,” Greene said.
Greene’s frustration is palpable as she lambasts the official narrative. “I’m gonna call it total bulls*** that no one knows what these are. And I think it’s a slap in the face to the American people to say they don’t know what this is,” she declared, pulling no punches in her critique of the government’s response.

The Scale of the Drone Mystery
The scope of this issue is far from trivial. Since November, the FBI has been inundated with thousands of reports regarding these unidentified drones. What’s more alarming is that these sightings aren’t random; they’ve occurred in proximity to sensitive military installations and have even led to the temporary closure of a New York airport.
“There is nothing that is known that would lead me to say that, but we just don’t know. And that’s the concerning part,” admitted FBI Assistant Director of the Critical Incident Response Group Robert Wheeler.
Despite the flood of reports, fewer than 100 leads have been deemed worthy of further investigation. This apparent disconnect between the volume of sightings and the limited follow-up has only fueled speculation and distrust.
Drone expert Vijay Kumar has cast doubt on the FBI’s claims of ignorance. Given the drones’ proximity to airports and military bases, Kumar speculates that this could be a covert U.S. government operation. His skepticism echoes Greene’s sentiments, suggesting that federal agencies likely know more than they’re letting on.
Former Navy pilot Rep. Mike Garcia, R-Calif., takes a more ominous view of the situation.
“I think it is a malevolent intent of some sort, whether it’s a foreign country or it’s just a private citizen trying to see what they can get away with,” he said.
Adding another layer to the mystery, New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew floated the idea that the drones might be linked to an Iranian ‘mothership.’
However, this theory was swiftly shot down by Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh, who stated unequivocally, “There is no Iranian ship off the coast of the United States, and there’s no so-called mothership launching drones towards the United States.”
We’ll see.
