Scammer Claims Wanting to Buy Porsche Before Running Over Owner

Shocking security footage from a Toronto home captured the moment a woman ran over a Porsche owner and fled with his vehicle after claiming she was interested in buying it. The incident occurred on September 6 when the suspect, described as a 5’6″ South Asian woman, arrived at the victim’s home in response to an advertisement for a 2022 Porsche Cayenne listed on AutoTrader.

As captured by the home’s Ring camera, the woman announced her arrival by saying, “Hello, I’m here for the Porsche.” Initially, the interaction seemed routine as the woman inspected the car with the owner. However, the situation took a dramatic turn when she suddenly jumped into the vehicle and attempted to steal it.

The footage shows the woman quickly reversing the Porsche while the owner stood behind it, causing him to be dragged and thrown onto the street. As she sped away, the man was left injured and sprawled across the pavement.

Before the theft, the woman reportedly told the owner she was waiting for her father, and police are now investigating another vehicle, a grey Bentley Bentayga, that was spotted outside the home and is believed to be involved as an accomplice.

The victim, who sustained injuries to his elbow, hands, and legs, required medical attention following the attack. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the stolen vehicle or the suspect to contact Peel Regional Police.
