Donald Trump sat down for an interview with Dr. Phil and roasted his political opponents. He described California Rep. Adam Schiff as a “watermelon head” and said President Biden is “mentally deficient.” The former President concluded that the Justice Department prosecutors pursuing him in court are “sick, evil people.”
The interview took place at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and contained light and heavy-hearted moments. His most stinging personal attack was reserved for Adam Schiff, a fierce anti-Trump Democrat who spearheaded a smear campaign against the GOP Presidential candidate in 2016, accusing him of colluding with Russia. In his sit-down with Dr. Phil McGraw, Trump said Schiff had the smallest neck he’d ever seen, and he didn’t know how it held up such a large head. “Very unattractive guy, both inside and outside,” he said.
Referring to President Biden, his predecessor described America under his leadership as a “dumping ground.” Mr. Trump said the President is both “evil” and incompetent and never especially good at politics.
In a particularly controversial moment, the former President claimed that taking revenge against those who used the “weaponized” Justice Department to prosecute him was a possibility should he win in November. Trump said revenge is “sometimes justified.”
Dr. McGraw later told reporters he does not believe Trump will follow through on retribution threats. He said the former President had turned things over and over in his mind and concluded that revenge was “the only way to go,” but in the end, he will realize that payback damages America and won’t pursue it.
The TV psychologist also stated that he doesn’t believe Donald Trump was treated fairly by the justice system, mainly due to the inclusion of “very prejudicial” testimony. For example, McGraw cited former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen’s testimony against his ex-boss after agreeing to a plea deal with prosecutors. Mr. Cohen was responsible for paying adult actress Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about her alleged sexual encounter with Mr. Trump.
